The Independence National Education Association (INEA) is the exclusive bargaining representative for educators in the ISD! We are the ONLY teacher's UNION in the ISD. 

INEA won collective bargaining rights for all public sector employees in the state of Missouri, and won an election to be your official voice for educators in 2007! 

We are the union who champions for collective bargaining in the ISD. We also actively advocate for the rights of students and educators at the state and national levels.

INEA is the local affiliate of the Missouri National Education Association (MNEA). MNEA lobbies for all educators at the state level, while the national affiliate, the National Education Association advocates for all educators in Washington D.C.
